The central Drawing Room, dominated by the portrait of Henry VIII from Holbein's studio, is breathtaking, with Gainsboroughs and Turners all over the place and amazing woodcarvings. There were Chinese jars in every room, it seemed. Paintings lent out to other museums had the stipulation that before return they were to be cleaned, so they all glowed!
