Stratford on Avon

I tried out a friend's Fuji 10 - 24mm wide-angle zoom; it was sharp and contrasty, and also had image stabilisation!  The station is the presumably new S. on A. Parkway.

Blunted Javelin

Another triptych from Flixton, with a Canberra cockpit section looking like a sad dog.

Norfolk and Suffolk Aviation Museum

Lionel and I visited this museum at Flixton, but it was closed.  There was a man on site, and he kindly allowed us to take photos and enter the hangars.  The gate guardian is a Hawker Hunter, and pic 2 is the tail of a Hunter that crashed in August 1959, while the Bristol Hercules engine is from a Stirling bomber that crashed in November 1943.  The hangar lights were not on for this chiaroscuro portrait of a Mark 1 Lightning.

Midge, Bug, Dog, Toys

A wan-looking Sadie and her soft toys, plus Meredith's foot in her new spotty slippers.  Millie is not taken for granted in spite of being Bug's cushion.  Wolfie is the favourite toy of the past few months.

Cambridge at Night

The Grad Pad and Mill Race, the Grad Pad from the other end, Tacim Gurcali, hot dog vendor, and Kings College by the ISO 800, 30 secs at f/8 rule for daylight conditions in the dark.

Botanic Gardens

CCC's Out & About Group visited the botanic gardens in Cambridge today.  I concentrated on autumn colours.

Zebra Suit

For some unknown reason Sadie has to be a zebra at school on Tuesday.  Mummy managed to find her a black-and-white-striped suit just in time.  They were watching 'Despicable Me'.

Owl Hunt

To Burwell Fen a couple of hours before sunset to look for short-eared owls.  One fleeting distant view of a female hen harrier, otherwise no joy, and after snapping this kestrel at ISO 2500 in the gloom, we went home and left the world to darkness and to her.

Wind and Weather

Not many spectators at Snetterton today for the Formula 4 winter championship, plus Ginetta juniors and an all comers race.  The F4 car was driven by Jordan Albert, and regularly locked his wheels on the approach to Montreal hairpin, where he eventually passed the car in third spot to gain a podium place.  It was VERY windy on the banking overlooking Montreal.

Campus Again

From top:  Alexandra Square, with 50th anniversary ads; the Computer Centre, appropriately black and boxy; Fylde residences; Pendle residences from the George Fox building.
