Ann's RPS visit to RSPB Lakenheath Fen turned up four Hobbies, probably juveniles from their lack of orange 'trousers', industriously purging the skies of the shoals of dragonflies. One I snapped was a Sparrowhawk. I also saw Bearded Reedlings in the wild for the first time in many years. The spider is Araneus marmora [no common English name]. I saw not one single Marsh Harrier, and even the post in Joist Fen was empty of its customary Cormorant.
