Moulin Huet Bay is to the west of the Jerbourg Peninsula. Pierre-Auguste Renoir, noted Impressionist painter with a beard, spent a month on 'Guernesey' in 1883 and made several paintings of the bay, including Les Tas de Pois d'Amont (the pointed rocks on the left in Pic. 2) and Le Surtaut (The Cradle, on the right) though he exaggerated the size of the latter. The top pic was taken on the 12mm lens with a Big Stopper, 28 seconds at f/16. Ann plods up the very steep path from the shore. There was more ascent to be overcome!
