The Eigergletscher's main function is to facilitate skiing, so during the summer its ski lift and restaurants are closed, the ski-stands empty. There is now an official path to the station from K.S., with runic wooden sculptures. The end of the Eiger Trail has a little gallery of local guides and mountain rescue stars. The blue flowers are Spring Gentians, the yellow ones Globe Flowers (Trollblumen). The bird is an Alpine Chough and the helicopter is a Eurocopter Squirrel.
