We arrived at our AirB&B in Wallasey mid-afternoon and headed down to the New Brighton front with tripods. There were some downward-facing lights under the balcony on the lighthouse, but these were intermittent. It was very dark and fishermen were going down to the shore to try to catch cod. The Liverpool docks opposite were well lit and working. Fort Perch was still there.
