We went back to the beach for a high tide, and enjoyed the spectacle of thousands of waders leaving the mud as the tide came in and covered it. The birds, from top: sandwich tern; oystercatchers in a noisy beaky ritual, and singly and in flight; curlew on the seashore. The last pic was taken at Titchwell, where we paid a brief visit before Ann went to Brancaster to select their annual exhibition.
