Although I was on duty with Concorde today, I managed to get outside and see some of the flying. SM268 is a Spit Mk XVIII with a Griffon engine. Note the huge radiators and five-bladed prop, plus the usual difficulty in seeing where you are going on the ground. The two Buchons were accompanied by a Daimler-Benz engined 109, which I was not able to photograph. The pilot of the Ju52 flew a low fly-by above the taxiway, not the grass runway, very close to the spectators and very slowly.
