Aerofoils and the wing folding mechanisms on naval aircraft - a Sea Vixen (top) and Buccaneer. Guns on a Meteor (two each side) and four guns in the tail of a B52. The rear part, with the radome and guns, was designed to be blown off in an emergency and the gunner would then step out of his seat and parachute down. He was the only crew member not in the front of the aircraft, and had a stand to plug in his coffee flask to keep it warm.
