Back to the Wild

The Tawny Owl which was injured colliding with a window on 16th October was released back into the wild by St Ives Raptor Rescue today, and flew away quite happily.  Ann heard a Tawny calling during the night.

Pumpkin Patchers

Sadie and Meredith went to the Pumpkin Patch, which was very muddy, to buy pumpkins for Halloween.  They had their faces painted - Sadie's flower is wearing off; Meredith is a cat.

We went to Ely with Barry today, and it rained, so we sheltered in the cathedral.  It has some impressive old radiators that look as if they just burned coal inside.

Ow! L

This adult tawny owl flew into the window of a neighbour's house early this morning and was only discovered about 2.30 in the afternoon.  Clearly unable to fly, it was taken to a raptor and owl centre at St. Ives.  More news as we get it.
