The sequence shows a strike, an apparent capture and a meal on the wing, but the next frame shows the dragonfly just behind the bird's wing and then a bit further back. The next three frames also show the insect still at the same altitude, apparently flying. Did it escape, or was this a second insect passing the bird?

Paxton Pits
Not a large number of birds around. I heard a cuckoo and there were half a dozen terns on the rafts. No raptors but one Little Egret flew over.

Refurbished
After a year out of commission, the American Air Museum opened to the public again, with more audio-visual points and stories about the people involved with the aircraft and the conflicts, even the Greenham Common women.

Sunny Afternoon
On our way to collect the van to move the CCC exhibition, we found the hire shop shut and ourselves with more than four hours to fill. So we went down the road to Duxford, where the boys had got out their big toys, from top, PBY (Catalina); Mark I Spitfire and Hurricane and the Blenheim.

Cambridge Graduate Orchestra
On Saturday evening we went to photograph the orchestra for their website. At the rehearsal we could wander round but the players were dressed in many different colours. At the concert they all wore black, but we could not move around much. So we turned the rehearsal pix to B&W.

Pony Party
For Meredith's party two Shetland ponies arrived to give the children rides. The dark pony was called Fairy, and miniature one was called Angel. Meredith led her up and down the lane about twenty times. It was her third riding experience in twelve months.
