British Super Bikes (1)

I went with Jim Bennett (no relation) to Bennetts BSB at Snetterton for the second practice and qualifying day.  Being used to Grade D events, this was crowded, but even during the BSB Race One we got places at the fence wherever we chose.  I enjoyed the pits photography more than the racing.  Everyone seemed cheerful and there was plenty of the craic.

Some more images from Snetterton.  I like the skid-pads on the bums of the sidecar passengers.

Botanic Gardens

We went to the Botanic Gardens today on the Park & Ride bus - top deck because it was full both ways.  Uncle Peter joined us for lunch.

The Cow Trail

A half day in Cambridge with friends, looking for the Cows About Cambridge on a rainy day.  Thanks to Foodcycle at the old Livingstones Cafe in St Andrew's Street for a free vegetarian Shepherd's Pie.

The Pits Again!

Although motor racing has been going on with spectators for a couple of months, only now have the pits been opened to everyone.  The difference is amazing!  Today there were long races - forty minutes on average, and only one Safety Car - once the marshals had sorted out the flags.  The oddities were a RHD Sunbeam Rapier and an immaculate Datsun 240.
