Snowdrops and Coffee

We advertised a CCC meeting at Madingley Hall, where the cafe was due to be open and the snowdrops
out.  I was testing the Laowa 7.5mm; all of the images here were made with it, except the snowdrops.  There was a very good attendance, and it was good to meet club friends we hadn't seen for a while except over Zoom.

In With The New . . .

The British Airliner Collection today took delivery of its newest exhibit, a BAe 146 Statesman of No. 30 (Royal) Squadron.  ZE701 made a flypast and landed, framed by the H-P Herald which is leaving Duxford to make space for the new arrival.  There were two RAF photographers on the aircraft, and one already on the ground.  It was sad to witness the last flight of an aircraft.  DAS put on a good feast for the crew and for the volunteers and stewards of the Collection.

Paxton Pits

Instead of our planned trip to Rye Meads, we went to Paxton.  It was a bright sunny day, and I used a high ISO to get a fast shutter speed with lens and teleconverter.  There was a Great White Egret, Herons, lots of Cormorants and gulls, and a few Great Crested Grebes.  A Sparrowhawk passed overhead.

Railway Lines

A sunny day in Cambridge.  We were having lunch with Peter and Holly, but went in early and walked around for an hour or so, then over the covered bridge.

Coffee and Cake but no Kingfishers

It must be Lackford Lakes again.  Snipes and geese living in harmony.  Four species of Tits, a Nuthatch and a very confiding Robin.  Even a flying Water Rail.  But no Kingfishers.
