Visited the UEA with Barry to photograph some 'brutal' concrete. The high walkways created some dark canyons beneath, but the residential buildings were 'softer' and more colourful. The students were very polite and chatty and the food prices low. The Gormley figure standing on the roof (pic 2) was an unsettling sight! Pix mostly with 10mm Samyang.

Half-Marathon
The Cambridge Half-Marathon was run in the opposite direction to previous years, so we decided to take the photos at the top of the hill into Grantchester, around Mile 8. 15,000 people took part. Top pic shows the winner, Jonathan Escalante-Phillips (1 hour 6 mins), then a chasing group of elite runners, then a Prince Harry lookalike as a Pacer. The men in yellow were running for the East Anglian Air Ambulance. The guy in the wheelchair and his carers seemed to know a lot of the runners. The last pic was taken at 11.45 and the stream of runners showed no signs of slackening.

New Home for a Cambridge Cow
One of the Cows About Cambridge that were auctioned at the end of September has ended up in the village. This one was at the railway station. Bug tends to the grave of her great-grandparents Grady.

The Last Show of 2021
Today was a 'Flying Day', which usually has about 90 minutes of air show; this one had three and half hours, including the BBMF Lancaster and two Spitfires, plus the Typhoon jet. Other aircraft were the de Havilland 89A Dragon Rapide, the Hawker Hind, a tail-chasing Fieseler Storch and Piper Cub, and areobatics from a Buecker Jungmann.

In a Country Churchyard
A large group of photographers invaded Toft churchyard this evening with flash and model (the angel, top pic) and I took along my fisheye lens.
