Saffron Walden Photohunt

I didn't manage all of the clues set by Malcolm Brown, and wasn't pleased with some of my efforts, but here are the better ones.  I was in a double exposure mode of view.

Fenstanton Pits

We took Meredith to the Pits today.  There were a lot of Great Crested Grebes, a couple of Herons and Little Egrets, and Bug spotted this Tree Creeper.  The weather was not the best for photography.

Sidgwick Site

With Ann and Jane on the bus to the deserted Sidgwick Site to photograph the post-apocalyptic vibe of the university.

On The Beach

We had a couple of hours in Hunstanton today.  Sadie collected some rocks while Meredith saw fulmars, turnstones, oystercatchers and a common gull.  In the afternoon we met Sarah in Santon Downham and paddled in the river.

Holiday with Midge and Bug

We stayed in an AirB&B near King's Lynn and saw a double rainbow last night from the girls' bedroom.  Today we went to the Lincolnshire Wildlife Park near Friskney.  They have a thousand parrots.  And eleven tigers.  The meerkats have their own little wild west town.

Feeder Fly-In

Meredith's flock of small birds included seven Long-Tailed Tits on one feeder, but it was rare to get a flying bird in the plane of focus.

Docklands

Ann spent two days in the baking heat at a Travelodge in Docklands, and I went down to collect her today.  It was 34 degrees in the concrete landscape, and we left by about 1.30pm.  Ann had been doing double-exposures, so I tried a few.  The Nightingale Hospital (the ExCel centre) seemed unoccupied.  All photos with 35mm lens on the Fuji.
