Out of the Toon
Sunderland has its own mini Tyne Bridge, the 1927 Wearmouth Bridge. South Shields has a long shopping street, while Tynemouth has a station market and sandy beaches.

Evening on the Tyne
Two young women asked me to take their picture on a modern Polaroid camera (the white machine one is holding) and I asked to take one for myself. The Sage and the Baltic Centre were lit by golden evening sun.
