Three of thirteen frames of a cuckoo taken at Wicken Fen today.  Only the lowest, behind the reeds, is completely in focus!  (1/2000th second f/5.6)

Bletchley Park

It was a Forties-themed day at the Park, with immaculate picnics and military uniforms.  The model railway is tiny - 9 millimetre 'N' gauge.  Matt and Giles are not so tiny, but Colossuses would be rude.

Heat Wave

This week the weather has finally turned hot, so Sadie helped Granny with the watering.

Sadie's Birthday Party

Sadie is two years old today

Sadie is two, and Meredith is one month old today.  Sadie is in her new wendy house.  She is very pleased with it and invites everyone in.

Ann and Meredith enjoy a cuddle, and an awake baby is not used to flash photography, while Sadie inspects Ruby's feeding technique.

Rhapsody

This bird must be on the short-list for the most beautiful flying machine ever.  Never mind the eagles, or the Mk. 9 Spitfire, or hummingbirds, this pocket falcon is quite perfect in form and function.  It's a Hobby.

Evolution

From 70cc scooter through Yamaha 250 two-stroke, Honda CBR four-cylinder four-stroke, Suzuki Hayabusa 1300cc twin-turbo four-cylinder to the massive drag bike the rider is just hanging onto.

Vee Dubs

This 1972 Beetle looked more like a show car than a dragster, while the older Crew Van is more of a dumpster.  Look at those cool alloys, though.

Bikeathlon

Remember the Raleigh Chopper?  Aerial antics.  The bottom two 'bail outs' were onto an air cushion.

Santa Pod

Two from the drag strip at the Pod today.  Two long-wheelbase bikes (top) and a BMC Minivan leading a Ford Mustang off the line - the Mini has a 3.9 litre tuned V8 engine, though.
