Molly had a new engine in May, and Peter decided it was time we checked the valve clearances. We removed the rocker cover and jacked up the rear, leaving the car in gear so that turning a road wheel rotated the engine (plugs out, of course). Most of the gaps were between 12 and 15 thou. Stuck a new cork gasket to the rocker cover and torqued it down very carefully, not like the MG Owners' Club did a year or so ago!!
