Welney Washes

On our way up to Kings Lynn for five days' holiday, we stopped off at Welney, where avocet aggression was still at Level Red, even in international waters.  The hobby was flying low and catching small mammals, which it took into the air to consume.  A snipe foraged far from the madding crowd's strife.
