We went to the Botanic Gardens today on the Park & Ride bus - top deck because it was full both ways. Uncle Peter joined us for lunch.

The Cow Trail
A half day in Cambridge with friends, looking for the Cows About Cambridge on a rainy day. Thanks to Foodcycle at the old Livingstones Cafe in St Andrew's Street for a free vegetarian Shepherd's Pie.

The Pits Again!
Although motor racing has been going on with spectators for a couple of months, only now have the pits been opened to everyone. The difference is amazing! Today there were long races - forty minutes on average, and only one Safety Car - once the marshals had sorted out the flags. The oddities were a RHD Sunbeam Rapier and an immaculate Datsun 240.

Lark Rise Farm
Ann and I visited Lark Rise today. We found no Wasp Spiders, but plenty of Funnel Webs. Butterflies spotted were: Comma, Tortoiseshell, Meadow Brown, Small Heath, Marbled White, Ringlet, Red Admiral, Large White, Essex Skipper and Small White.

Urban Cows
Discovered cows scattered about Cambridge. Top one, outside Trinity College, is Sir Isaac Moo-ton, and the Steampunk Cow is just off Market Square. We will have to do the whole Cow Trail before they disappear.
