We spent the evening in Trafalgar Square doing long exposures of the fountains, up to 30 seconds. The cherry ice cream is on the fourth plinth. The statue of George IV on horseback shows him remarkably slim!! I had to desaturate the visitors to the lion because the colours were so garish. The buildings beside the Eye changed colours all the time. Back through Lower Marsh Market and Vaulty Towers.

Boxing Day (2)
We found ourselves in Sloane Square - it has a statue and e-scooter parking, but there were many petrol-powered supercars going up west. In Soho I placed my tripod so that I was in front of a lamppost or bollard so as not to get in the way of the tourists. Best shutter speed for blur but recognisable was 1/12th or faster. Spotting the 1966-registered Triumph, I've processed the image with heavy grain and less contrast, like contemporary Ektachrome.
Boxing Day (1)
We set out to visit Battersea Power Station to see what had been done around it. Like the Coal Yards, it has been transformed into a posh residential and shopping area. On the way we met a pair of Egyptian Geese, passed Vauxhall Bus Station - is that a trolley bus design? - and met more of the workings for the big East-West Sewer along the south bank. The white and grey apartment block seemed to resemble cliff dwellings. The Power Station was designed by Giles Gilbert Scott, who designed just about everything in England in the late 19th and early 20th Century, including the Bankside Power Station, now the Tate Modern.

Christmas Day in London (1)
Through the Lower Marsh Market, clearly quite a trendy street, underneath Waterloo Bridge and up to Westminster Bridge with its white lions. The Guards were parading on Horse Guards Parade; the Blues and Royals in the blue capes with their chin straps under their chins and the Life Guards in red capes with the straps under their lower lips. One of the lions in Trafalgar Square and Blackfriars Bridge. Not many people about, but greetings were exchanged.
Christmas Day in London (2)
The light was not enticing, so we headed for the South Bank, by way of a Cinderella scene - how did she walk on just one high heel? The cloud/mist was low over the buildings in the City. Finally two conventional views of the Millenium Bridge.

Waterloo Road
In London for our Christmas break at the Travelodge near Waterloo Station. It chucked it down in the evening, but we went out to get the shining pavements.
