Lackford Lakes
It was overcast at best, and raining at worst at the Suffolk reserve today. Coots were aggressive, grebes serene, shovelers comic and snakes buoyant. Miles Whitworth provided excellent banter.

Birds, Reptiles and Dogs
From a free as a bird red kite to Ruppel's Griffon Vulture, with meerkats, silver fox, boa constrictor and Australian bearded lizards. All at Hamerton Zoo.

Cats at the Zoo
We visited Hamerton Zoo today. They have provided a bigger tiger enclosure and all the animals look lean and healthy. Much education is obviously being done (top). Pic.no. 4 is of a serval, and no. 5 is a Spanish lynx.

Welney
A quiet day at Welney, with the star attraction being no less than thirteen cranes. An RAF C130 with a crane painted on the tail flew across, and a couple kestrels foraged, along with two female and one male marsh harrier.

Bug and Bubbles
"Bubbles misses me when I'm at school," Meredith says. He tolerates her hugs and kisses when she's back.
