We arrived at the Gare du Nord in a very cold Paris just after one o'clock. Found our hotel and ventured out into the late afternoon sunshine near another railway station (or was it a museum?) and tried some less usual angles on the Eiffel Tower until we reached the Trocadero and they switched on the fountains. Spectacular!
